Frequently asked questions

A place to play Filipino table games with family and friends who are far apart: Tongits, Mahjong, BetGame (a five-card poker showdown) and Pusoy (13 cards in three rows). A host opens a table, players sit down from their phones, and the app deals, checks every move and settles each hand.

No. KaLaro credits are fun credits granted by the admin. There is no top-up, no cash-out and no real-money prize in the app. They only keep score. See the Terms and Conditions.

New players receive a welcome grant on their first sign-in. When you run low, open Wallet and tap Request credits; an admin grants them. Every hand you win pays you from the losers, so playing well keeps you going.

Same account and nickname, but separate credits and a separate host approval. KaLaro credits live only in KaLaro, and being a host in KaBingo does not make you a host in KaLaro (or the other way round).

Every game starts with 2 players. Tongits seats up to 3, Mahjong and Pusoy up to 4, BetGame up to 6. The host taps Deal once at least two players are seated and ready.

To sit you must hold the most you could lose in one hand: 4x the bet at Tongits, 10x at Mahjong, 12x at Pusoy, and the minimum bet at BetGame. That way nobody can be left owing credits.

Yes. Tapping a table never seats you: choose Sit down or Just watch. Watchers see the table, the melds and the discards but never anyone's hand. A host may also run a table without playing.

Everyone gets five cards. The mano names the bet or folds; then each player in turn folds, fights (matches the bet) or raises. You need at least a pair to name the bet or to raise. When everyone still in has matched, the best poker hand takes the pot. If everyone else folds, the last player takes the pot only with at least a pair; with just a high card the hand is a draw and every credit goes back.

Everyone gets 13 cards and drags them into three rows: front (3), middle (5) and back (5), each row at least as strong as the one in front of it. Rows are compared against every other player: 1 bet per row won, one more for winning all three. You have two minutes; the app arranges the rest for you when time runs out.

Ask the host for the invite code (or the invite link). Type the code on the dashboard or open the link; the table opens and you can tap Sit down. The code is asked only when you sit.

Turn-based games keep waiting for that player. BetGame and Pusoy have clocks: a silent player folds or gets a legal arrangement made for them. The host can always Cancel the table, which voids the hand with no credits moving.

Yes. KaLaro runs in the browser on iPhone and Android, and there is an Android app you can download from the dashboard. The app is the same web app, so it is always up to date.

Other players see your nickname, your username and whether you are online. Your email stays private. Your own cards are readable only by you; the app never sends them to anyone else. See the Privacy Policy.

Tap "Want to host? Request access" on the dashboard. An admin approves it in the KaLaro admin panel. Hosts create tables, deal, and can end or cancel their tables.
