KaLaro - Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 11 September 2026. Plain-language draft for a family and friends game app. This is not legal advice.
1. What KaLaro is
KaLaro lets a host open a table for Tongits (3 players) or Filipino Mahjong (4 players) and play with friends and family over the internet. Every table has a bet per hand counted in fun credits, and the app settles each hand in those credits.
2. Fun credits have no cash value
- Credits are entertainment points only. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged, withdrawn or cashed out, inside or outside the app.
- Credits are given by the app admin (for example a welcome grant, or a grant after you ask for credits). There is no top-up and no purchase.
- Winning or losing credits in a hand has no monetary effect on anyone. Credits may be reset, adjusted or removed by the admin at any time.
3. No real-money gambling
KaLaro does not accept, hold, transfer or pay out any money. It does not offer real-money prizes. Any arrangement people make among themselves outside the app is their own private matter and is not part of, endorsed by, or facilitated by KaLaro. Do not use KaLaro for anything that requires a gambling licence in your country.
4. Accounts
- You sign in with Google or with an email and password. Keep your password private. The admin can reset a password on request.
- You must be old enough to use online services in your country, and you must have the consent of a parent or guardian if you are a minor.
- One person, one account. Do not share accounts.
- The admin may deactivate an account that breaks these terms or disrupts other players.
5. Fair play and conduct
- Game rules are enforced by the server. Attempting to tamper with the app, exploit bugs, or gain an unfair advantage is not allowed.
- Be kind in chat. Offensive words are masked automatically and hosts can turn chat off. Harassment or abuse may lead to deactivation.
- A host may remove a player from a table between hands, end a table, or cancel it.
6. Availability and changes
KaLaro is a hobby project provided as-is, with no guarantee of uptime, data retention or continued availability. Features, rules and payout tables may change. A hand that is interrupted by a disconnection or a cancelled table may be voided with no credits moved.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, KaLaro and its developer are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the app, including disputes between players.
8. Privacy
See the Privacy Policy for what is stored and who can see it.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Questions: aries.teanila@gmail.com.
